The aim of the course:
To teach fundamental definitions and terms of electic and electronics , circuit components and analysing, generation and distribution of electricity, The usage and structure of measurement instruments, fundamentals of communication systems, semiconductor circuit components and analysing, the structure and maintenance of electrochemical devices, Earthing of ships, principles of magnetism and induction, ship electrical power plants.

Upon successful completion of the course, the students will be able to :

Contents of the Course
Fundamentals of electric - electronics, AC/DC Circuits, Ohm's and Kirchhoff's Laws, Circuit analysis, Transformers, Electric motors and generators, semiconductor components and circuits, Earthing, Cable Types, Batteries and accumulators, Monophase - Three-Phase electrical systems, Electricity generation, rectifier - clipper and amplifier circuits, Magnetism, Ship electrical power plants, Antennas, GDSS Ship power sources, Measurement instruments.
