The aim of the course:
To learn practice and skills about ship automation and control systems

Upon successful completion of the course, the students will be able to :
LO - 1 : To identify breakdowns by using monitoring system in engine control room (ECR)3,10,11,121,
LO - 2 : To carry out automation and control system maintenances of main and auxiliary engines' onboard3,10,11,121,
LO - 3 : To carry out maintenances of electric and electronics devices onboard.3,10,11,121,
LO - 4 : To learn hydraulic and pnomatic systems onboard3,10,11,121,

Contents of the Course
According to International Martitime Organization (IMO) and STCW 78-95 convention, maritime transportation and management engineering students are need to adopt automation and control systems onboard to reach new developed marine engineering tecnology. This modul helps students to learn aoutomation and control systems onboard and plan ship engines' maintenance. Contents of this course include automation components, main and auxiliary engines automation, bridge control automation, Steering gear automation, autopilot and emergency steering automations, hydraulics and pnomatic systems, Remote control of fixed CO2 fire extinguishing system, electric and electronic measurement devices
