The aim of the course:
The course aims to give the students general information about sociology. A student who successfully finishes the course is expecting to understand the nature and causes of structured behavior in social situations.

Contents of the Course
The development of sociological thinking, the theme of sociology and its restrictions, the relation between sociology and other sciences, the different approaches in sociology, the analyze of basic sociological concepts and process, the social structure (statue, social role) , the factors of social mobility, socio-cultural changes, social stratification (different types of stratification, traditional and usual stratification symbols) .
