The aim of the course:
This course is designed to provide basic information on polymer chemistry in medical, cosmetic, and pharmaceutical fields. At the end of this course, successful students learn polymer terminology, polymerization mechanisms and methods, characteristics of polymers, and some special polymers used in medical and pharmaceutical fields and their usage in these areas.

Contents of the Course
Basic concepts of polymer science (classification, molecular weight, glass transition temperature and melting point, etc.), polymerization mechanisms, polymerization techniques, mechanical and thermal properties of polymers, natural and synthetic polymers and pharmaceutical application areas.
