The aim of the course:
Be able to know the computer networks and communication structures. Understanding Protocols applications. Describe the structure of the intranet and the Internet. Be able torecognize a basic network setup devices.

Contents of the Course
Foundations and architecture of computer networks, computer network topologies and types, the OSI model and network protocols, network connectivity devices, active and passive devices, the LAN communication technologies (802 X family, and ethernet, token ring, FDDI), WAN communication technologies (x25, DSL , ISDN, FR, etc.)., network operating systems, provision of communication over a network, network installation and management, network services and services provided on the TCP / IP and Internet structure subneting, IP routing, communication via the Internet: e-mail, instant message programs, send and receive files over the Internet, use FTP programs, remote access to systems on the network and use, network security, intrusion detection and prevention methods, DHCP, DNS, Web server, remote access server, the establishment of a database server, network service providers, such as the establishment and operation.
