The concept of central administration and decentralization, the concept of local autonomy, the history of local governments in Turkey, municipalities, special provincial administrations, village administration, state-local government relations, urbanization and metropolitan administration, reorganization of local governments are taught. Reasons for the existence of local governments; local governments and economy; distribution of services and resources between local governments and central administration; metropolitan area administration; local governments in practice. |
