| One of the main objectives of this course is the study of power, which is both a political and a social phenomenon, and related concepts such as legitimacy, the state, authority, democracy and identity movements.
In this context, discussions of the concept of power in classical and contemporary theories of political sociology - elitism (classical), pluralism (classical), Marxism (classical), postmodern social theory (contemporary), poststructuralism (contemporary), and radical democracy (contemporary) - will be discussed. |
