The aim of the course:
Help the students to comprehend the fundamentals of the Ottoman social structure and family structure, the urban and rural life dynamics, Muslim-non-Muslim relations, and other parameters of the Ottoman social domain that carry significance.

Upon successful completion of the course, the students will be able to :
PO - 1 : outline the main strata of the Ottoman society and in general, the development of the social stratification of the Ottoman society.1,51,
PO - 2 : evaluate the factors affecting Ottoman social life, Muslim/non-Muslim relations, urban and rural life conditions and the changes in Ottoman social life in the context of the socio-economic conditions of the related time periods.1,81,
PO - 3 : utilize the theoretical knowledge they acquire during the course in their research and interpret the subjects with their knowledge.5,81,
