The aim of the course:
The course aims to enable students to understand the characteristics of oral explanation and the importance of oral explanation in communication, to have information about prepared and unprepared speech, to be aware of the factors that a good speaker should consider and be able to use the relevant techniques for improving understanding, reading and listening.

Contents of the Course
Developing and evaluating students? speaking skills, important points in respect to the pronunciation of Turkish, diction and its importance, right spelling, right accent, correct toning, practices based on texts, speech defect and their elimination; dialogue, supplementary techniques for rhetoric, preparing speech for special days, organizing the content of the speech, elements of body language, factors which affect speech, techniques for verse reading, works concerning discussion, open discussion, panel, forum, symposium, conference.
