The aim of the course:
To give a sound knowledge of how to use statistics in evaluating experimental data and to underline the principles of using statistical tools in solving engineering problems.

Contents of the Course
Tabulation, graphical presentation and frequency distribution of raw data. Central and variance parameters. The concepts of probability, permutation and combination. Theoretical distributions: binomial, poisson, exponential and Normal distributions and their applications in engineering field. Sampling distributions. Statistical tests; student (t-test) and chi-square tests. Regression analysis and correlation concept.
