The aim of the course:
The main objectives of this course are to provide the student with a clear presentation of the basic concepts and principles related to electromagnetics of physics.
 
Learning OutcomesCTPOTOA
Upon successful completion of the course, the students will be able to :
LO - 1 : solve problems dealing with electric charge, electric field, and electric potential.1
LO - 2 : solve electric field problems using Gauss's Law. 1
LO - 3 : solve problems dealing with capacitors and resistors.1
LO - 4 : solve problems involving resistance and capacitance in direct current circuits.1
LO - 5 : know the concept and origin of the magnetic field.1,10
LO - 6 : learn Faraday's Law and electromagnetic induction.1
LO - 7 : solve problems involving series resistance, capacitance, and inductance in alternating current circuits.1
LO - 8 : learn nature of electromagnetic waves. 1,10

Contents of the Course
Electric Fields, Gauss?s Law, Electric Potential, Capacitance and Dielectrics, Current and Resistance, Direct Current Circuits, Magnetic Fields, Sources of Magnetic Field, Farady?s Law, Inductance, Alternating Current Circuits, Electromagnetic Waves.
