The aim of the course:
The student should obtain about seismicity patterns observed in different tectonic settings and characterize the seismic activities.

Upon successful completion of the course, the students will be able to :

Contents of the Course
Introduction, global tectonics, relations between global tectonics and earthquakes, some aspects of global earthquakes, variations of earthquakes in terms of time and space in different seismic zones, global variations of earthquakes in terms of magnitude and depths, relations between the different fault types and tectonics, variations of earthquake source parameters in different fault types, variations of seismicity parameters in global scale, implication of seismicity of Turkey and nearby regions, variations of seismicity parameters in Turkey and nearby regions.
