The aim of the course:
Having basic knowledge about the methods of marine geophysics, marine data collection, processing, and gain the ability to interpret the data obtained, the solution to the production of marine geology and geophysics, and gain the skills to develop the scope of the problem.

Contents of the Course
Denizler ve okyanusların taban yapısı ve özellikleri, araştırma gemileri, navigasyon sistemleri, batimetrik veri toplanması (tek ışınlı ve çok ışınlı sistemler), yandan taramalı sonar sistemleri, çok kanallı sismik yansıma verisi, yüksek frekanslı sismik yansıma verisi (chirp), diğer deniz jeofiziği sistemleri (ROV, AUV, UUV vs.), çeşitli deniz verilerinin işlenmesi, haritalanması ve yorumlanması, verilerin aktif tektonik ile ilişkilendirilmesi. Structure and properties of the base of the Seas and oceans, research vessels, navigation systems, bathymetric data collection (single-beam and multi-beam systems), side scan sonar systems, multi-channel seismic reflection data, high-frequency seismic reflection data (chirp), other marine geophysical systems (ROV, AUV, etc.), various marine data processing, mapping and interpretation of the data associated with active tectonics.
