The aim of the course:
The student should obtain principles and applications of spectral estimation.

Upon successful completion of the course, the students will be able to :

LO - 2 : learn developing of computer programs for spectral methods.1,2
LO - 3 : have experience for programming and evaluating of geophysical data by spectral methods.1,2

Contents of the Course
Sampling and analogue to digital conversion, design of digital filters, anti-aliasing filter, windowing, applications of Digital System Functions, decimation and interpolation techniques, Amplitude and phase spectrum, power spectrum, nonperiodic-to-periodic function conversion, digital application of discrete Fourier series to periodic functions.
