The aim of the course:
Main goals of this course is to equip the student with understanding the importance of occupational health and safety and modern techniques applied to improve health and safety standards and to minimize the mine accidents.

Upon successful completion of the course, the students will be able to :
LO - 1 : know the basic terminology of occupational health and safety; e.g., hazard, risk, incident, injury. 9,10,11
LO - 2 : describe the work related hazard and risks. 9,10,11
LO - 3 : have knowledge of potential hazards in their workplace.9,10,11

Contents of the Course
The historical development of occupational health and safety; basic terminology of occupational health and safety e.g., hazard, risk, incident, injury; safety culture; physical, chemical, biologic and physico-social risks at workplace; potential hazards in applied geophysics; the occupational health and safety legislation in Republic of Türkiye No:6331.
