The student should obtain basic knowledge about the principles of gravity, magnetics, and seismic methods with practical application

Upon successful completion of the course, the students will be able to :
LO - 1 : learn the basics of data acquuisition, processing and evaluation in applied geophysics.4,51,4
LO - 2 : comprehend the seismic refraction and reflection method and application, and use of the methods to determine the underground structure of the methods.4,51,4

Contents of the Course
Introduction to geophysics, progress in geophysics and its relation to other scientific fields, introduction to exploration geophysics, basic principles in gravity prospecting, gravity field of the earth, gravity measurements and interpretation, basic principles in magnetic prospecting, magnetic field of the earth, types of magnetism and magnetism in rocks, instruments in geomagnetic measurements, basic principles in seismic prospecting, seismic reflection and refraction methods, seismic data collection, processing and evaluation.
