The aim of the course:
It aims to enable students to prepare and present themselves and their studies in the most accurate and professional way while stepping into business life before graduation.
 
Learning OutcomesCTPOTOA
Upon successful completion of the course, the students will be able to :
LO - 1 : Gains the ability to prepare a resume and create a professional designer portfolio in different formats,
LO - 2 : Experiences a series of scenario examples involving the designer/customer relationship in business life studies,
LO - 3 : Develops academic studies on design,
LO - 4 : He is aware of the ways to cope with the difficulties he will encounter in business life, the forms of suggestion, and the methods of coping with stress,
LO - 5 : Solve the problems encountered while preparing a portfolio in a multimedia environment,
LO - 6 : Uses prototyping method for portfolio,
LO - 7 : Have knowledge on presentation techniques,
CTPO : Contribution to programme outcomes, TOA :Type of assessment (1: written exam, 2: Oral exam, 3: Homework assignment, 4: Laboratory exercise/exam, 5: Seminar / presentation, 6: Term paper), LO : Learning Outcome

 
Contents of the Course
Gaining the ability to prepare a CV and create a professional designer portfolio in different formats, to experience a series of scenarios involving the designer/client relationship in business life, to improve academic studies on design, to struggle with difficulties in business life, to suggest ways, and methods of coping with stress. to be informed, to solve the problems encountered while preparing a portfolio in the multimedia environment, to use the prototype preparation method for the portfolio, to have information on presentation techniques.

 Week 3Portfolio design Selection of the best ones from the studies.
 Week 4Beginning design studies for portfolio format by hand or in computer environment. Evaluation of designs
 Week 5Determination of portfolio design. Making a mock-up of the design to be applied.
 Week 6Evaluation of the models and starting to practice. Placing images by hand or on a computer in accordance with the format.
 Week 7What to consider when applying for a job. Preliminary review of the prototype portfolio.
 Week 8Problems to be encountered in business life and methods of coping with these problems. Taking test output of portfolio file, checking color and string in the file.
 Week 9MIDTERM
 Week 10Evaluating and determining the content of the visual and written texts to be included in the portfolio Making the necessary arrangements.
 Week 11Methods of coping with stress and creativity development studies. Writing a resume for a portfolio file.
 Week 12Determining the font suitable for the format. Placing the works to be included in the portfolio in the determined order
 Week 13Placing the works to be included in the portfolio according to the determined order. Placement of text and images.
 Week 14Preparation of written documents to be included in the portfolio. Checking and printing for the last time.
 Week 15Presentation of the prepared file.
