The aim of the course:
To gain the ability to design and implement natural gas installations.

Upon successful completion of the course, the students will be able to :
LO - 1 : He/she compared natural gas to other fuels considering the technical characteristics.2,101,
LO - 2 : Comprehends the application details of underground and aboveground natural gas pipes, taking into account technical standards and specifications.2,101,
LO - 3 : He/she makes device selection by taking into account the technical features of natural gas burning devices.2,101,
LO - 4 : He/she design chimney channels and chimneys.2,101,
LO - 5 : He/she calculates the pipe diameter for systems with 50 mbar and lower pressure.2,101,

Contents of the Course
Properties of natural gas, advantages, comparison with other fuels. History of natural gas in Turkey. The role of natural gas installation technicians in the job market. Piping and placement rules for underground and aboveground gas pipes. Regulator and gas meter placement rules and calculations. Threaded and welded joining techniques used in the assembly of natural gas pipes. Classification and features of natural gas burning devices (individual and central). Chimneys and approximate section calculations. Pipe diameter calculation method and calculations on sample projects. Investigation of main column and indoor natural gas installations.
