The aim of the course:
The aim of this course is to give information about Mesopotamian cultures and archeology from the end of the third millennium BC to the middle of the first millennium BC.
 
Learning OutcomesCTPOTOA
Upon successful completion of the course, the students will be able to :
LO - 1 : They will have information on the archaeological material related to the Mesopotamian cultures of the II and I millennium BC.
LO - 2 : They will learn about the cultural and political history of Mesopotamia from the end of the third millennium BC to the middle of the first millennium BC.
CTPO : Contribution to programme outcomes, TOA :Type of assessment (1: written exam, 2: Oral exam, 3: Homework assignment, 4: Laboratory exercise/exam, 5: Seminar / presentation, 6: Term paper), LO : Learning Outcome

 
Contents of the Course
Mesopotamian history and archeology from the end of the third millennium BC to the middle of the 1st millennium BC is covered in this course. Archaeological settlements belonging to the mentioned period and materials obtained from these areas are tried to be introduced with their characteristic features.
