The aim of the course:
The aim of this course is to introduce Hittite politics and culture, and to make a preliminary preparation for the recognition of Hittite architectural and cultural remains.
 
Learning OutcomesCTPOTOA
Upon successful completion of the course, the students will be able to :
LO - 1 : They will have learned the Hittite political and cultural history.
LO - 2 : They will have information about the Hittite settlement and urbanization.
LO - 3 : They will be acquainted with the areas where archaeological studies are carried out and which yield Hittite material.
CTPO : Contribution to programme outcomes, TOA :Type of assessment (1: written exam, 2: Oral exam, 3: Homework assignment, 4: Laboratory exercise/exam, 5: Seminar / presentation, 6: Term paper), LO : Learning Outcome

 
Contents of the Course
The content of this course is to introduce the Hittite political and cultural history, urbanization, settlement layout and settlement areas where excavations were carried out, and thus to make a preliminary preparation for a better recognition of the Hittite archaeological material.
