The aim of the course:
The objective of the course is to analyze the effects of civil-military relations on politics and international relations through historical, theoretical, and contemporary developments.

Upon successful completion of the course, the students will be able to :
LO - 1 : analyze civil-military relations in historical and theoretical terms9,111,
LO - 2 : understand historical, institutional and societal factors that affect civil-military relations in different countries9,111,

The course includes the various subjects including military identity, theories of civil-military relations, military coups, coup-proofinf methods, the military's relations with war, democracy, development and gender as well as civil-military relations models in different regions
