Specimen collections, the use of proper containers, collection methods, correct labeling and the transport to the laboratory within a specified time. Use of requisition forms with patient data; acceptance and rejection criteria of clinical samples; processing, microbial culture, rapid and automatic systems in growth and identification versus conventional culture methods; reporting. |
