The aim of the course:
Include presentation of medically important viruses icluding basic structures and means of cultivation and characterization

Upon successful completion of the course, the students will be able to :

Contents of the Course
Include to provide students with an ability to: (i) understand the nature of viruses, the principles of virus structure and the basic criteria used for classification of animal viruses; (ii) replication strategies of animal viruses; (iii) demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the mechanisms of viral pathogenesis and the outcomes of viral infections, including persistence, of selected viruses; (iv) demonstrate knowledge of laboratory diagnosis of viral diseases (vi) carry out a range of advanced skills and laboratory techniques, including the growth and quantitation of some viruses.
