The contents and the nature of literary translation are outlined. Translation methods are introduced as one of the major components of the course. Necessity of handling the translation of literary works independently of other texts is profoundly demonstrated, emphasizing the fact that translations of literary texts becomes more of an effort due to cultural and linguistic factors. An example of every literary form such as poetry short story play texts is translated in the classroom, and students are assigned the tasks of activities of translation. |
