The aim of the course:
In order to give students a full understanding of corpus linguistics, its scope is going to be discussed. Later issues related to the design, development and analysis of corpora will be presented. Students are going to be informed about the software and tools that have been developed in order to carry out corpus linguistics research. Kinds of research questions that can and have been addressed using corpus methods and tools will be discussed by making use of published research studies in the field.
