To gain further insight into the concepts such as acculturation, gender, bilingualism, biculturalism, multiculturalism, intercultural communication, culture shock, cultural conflict, cultural relativity etc.
To raise an awareness of the different set of values, beliefs, customs, attitudes, or more broadly, mindsets people might have is also emphasized
