The aim of the course:
Objectives of the CourseThe primary goals of this course are as follows: 1. to offer a comprehensive treatment of scientific approach within the context of theory, research and practice2. to familiarize you with the whole range of methods currently used in social sciences, in particular in Applied Linguistics3. to increase your awareness of the pitfalls of undertaking a research4. to familiarize you with data collecting, coding, analyzing and presenting techniques5. to enable you to have an appreciation of the basic principles of research design, and also to read and analyze published studies
