The aim of the course:
The course aims to provide the students with a general knowledge on the amphibian and reptilian species in Turkey and World, to enable them to understand the anatomical structures, ecological behaviors, economical benefit such as venomous snakes and interaction with each others, to help them use their knowledge to understand and learning the their body function

Upon successful completion of the course, the students will be able to :

Contents of the Course
Introduction to Herpetology Scientists, more contribution to the herpetology science. Amphibians General characteristics of body structures of toads, brown frogs, common frogs, tree frogs and salamanders, development and reproduction periods, distributions of species in world, population structures. ReptiliansGeneral characteristics of body structures of turtles, Lacertlia such as Agama, Hemitactilus, true lizards, Ophidia venomous or non venomous snakes, development and reproduction periods, distributions of species in world, population structures, and their relations with environment. Enemies. Collections and fixations of herpeto fauna members. Classifications of reptilia and amphibia. Preservations some snake and frogs species.
