The aim of the course:
Learning combined chromatography ? bioactivity methods that can be used in various research fields, evaluation of their applicability in the local laboratories, gaining practice with current applications.
 
Programme OutcomesCTPOTOA
Upon successful completion of the course, the students will be able to :
PO - 1 : learn the basics and terminology of chromatography.
PO - 2 : learn the basics and terminology of bioactivity.
PO - 3 : learn advantages and disadvantages of combined chromatography-bioactivity methods.
PO - 4 : learn the applicability of combined chromatography-bioactivity methods in different fields.
PO - 5 : learn how to develop a new derivatization method.

Contents of the Course
Principles and types of chromatography, the material and instruments used, analyses of primary and secondary metabolites and other biomolecules with chromatographic methods, types of bioactivities investigated, current classical bioactivity tests, adaptation of bioactivity methods to chromatographic working systems, current studies of bioactivity measurements based on chromatographic analyses, advantages and disadvantages of the combined applications of bioactivity and chromatography, on-line bioactivity ? HPLC applications, bioactivity ? TLC applications, examples from current literature.
