Contents of the Course
Classification of surface treatments. Surface preparation techniques. Surface hardening in metals. Conversion coatings: Metal spraying, plasma spraying, vacuum techniques (PVD and CVD) . Laser surface modification. Enviromental problems in metal surface treatment. Characterization of coatings. Testing and selection of coatings.
