In this context, it is aimed to give information about the importance and necessity of participatory approaches depending on the national park planning process, position in the planning stages and, opportunities, benefits and risks of it. The disclosed methods and approaches are evaluated by considering socio-economic and social-cultural conditions of participation as well. |

Within the course; the importance, aim and scope of national park planning, the process of national park planning in Turkey, the concept of participation and its steps, the basic principles of the participation and functioning of participation process, methods and models used in participation approach accepted worldwide are evaluated and supported with practices in the scope of national park planning. |
