The aim of the course:
Learn to analysis methods of trace metals which shows toxic property at the low concentrations and determination practice field.

Contents of the Course
Importance of trace analysis and method selection, sample collection in trace analysis, sample preparation, data evaluation and calibration, pre-separation and pre-concentration, principal descriptions in separation techniques, high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC), new developments in heavy metal analysis, determination of heavy metals using voltametric technique in sea water latest developments in spectroscopy about rapid analysis, analyses using atomic spectroscopic techniques, overview to preconcentration techniques, working techniques, precipitation and co-precipitation method, electrochemical methods, preconcentration techniques based on sorption, sorbents, properties and preparation, preconcentration based on the extraction methods, flotation methods, ion exchange methods, organic and inorganic ion exchangers, volatization techniques. Trace metal analysis in fisheries.

 Week 4Solid-phase Extraction, Principles of solid-phase extraction.
 Week 5Holding solid-phase extraction mechanisms, Adsorption, Chelating creation (hard cations, cations of medium hardness, soft cations, ion pair, ion exchange), to be used for the selection of Solid Phase.
 Week 6Şelatlaştırıcı as Ditiyokarbomatlar, Solid-phase extraction application types (micro-columns, cartridges and disposable syringes, loaded resin membrane discs).
 Week 7Implementation Steps (conditioning, adsorption, washing, elusyon), Solid-Phase Extraction Advantages Applications, Liquid-Liquid Extraction, Ion Exchange, crash / crash together.
