The aim of the course:
The course aims to provide the students general information distribution of phytoplankton, phytoplankton taxa, population structure, environmental factors effecting the distribution.

Contents of the Course
Definition of marine phytoplankton and biology of marine phytoplankton organisms. Classification of marine phytoplanktonic organisms. Methods for identification phytoplanktonic organisms. Preparation of organisms for SEM and light microscopy. Phytoplankton dynamics in marine ecosystem and explanation some ecological effect of dynamics.
