The aim of the course:
Having knowledge obtaining essential oils and its content.
 
Programme OutcomesCTPOTOA
Upon successful completion of the course, the students will be able to :
PO - 1 : Definition of essential oil, volatile compounds and the structures of volatile compouns and formation mechanism.
PO - 2 : learn plants which include volatile oils and parts which obtain volatile oil.
PO - 3 : learn methods of obtaining essential oil .
PO - 4 : Recognize strenghts and weaknesses among essential oil obtaining methods.
PO - 5 : Know usage of essential oils and what are the aims of using essential oils.
PO - 6 : Biological activities of essential compounds and studies have been made about Biological activities of essential compounds
PO - 7 : Get information about analysis of essential oils, qualitative and quantitative detection of volatile compounds in volatile oil.
PO - 8 : Learn about the trade, export and import of volatile oil.
PO - 9 : know the collection and protection of plants which obtain volatile oil.
PO - 10 : learn the production of high value added products from essential oils.
