It is offering to teach degradation mechanisms of soft, brown and white rot fungi and blue stains fungi.

Programme OutcomesCTPOTOA
Upon successful completion of the course, the students will be able to :
PO - 1 : define terminology of wood deterioration and wood microbiology; and, define micro-biological harmful agents2,3,4,81,6,
PO - 2 : identify micro-biological degrading agents such as bacteria and fungi, examinig both macroscopic and microscopic aspects2,3,4,81,6,
PO - 3 : put into practise the evidence based principles of wood deterioration to determine decay in wood2,3,4,81,6,
PO - 4 : analyse the problems related to wood-decay identification techniques and, suggest a solution about them2,3,4,81,6,
CTPO : Contribution to programme outcomes, TOA :Type of assessment (1: written exam, 2: Oral exam, 3: Homework assignment, 4: Laboratory exercise/exam, 5: Seminar / presentation, 6: Term paper), PO : Learning Outcome
