The aim of the course:
To provide information on the definition and production of Oriented Particle Board (OSB) to postgraduate candidates in the field of Forest Industrial Engineering. To ensure that they have knowledge about the raw materials, machinery and methods to be used in the OSB plate production industry. It is ensured that they have the technical competence to solve the problems they will encounter during and after production. It is to gain the quality features of OSB boards and the ability to provide the conditions sought in the places of use.

Programme OutcomesCTPOTOA
Upon successful completion of the course, the students will be able to :
PO - 1 : Defines and explains the importance of OSB plate production, raw materials used in production, machinery, equipment and production1,3,8,93,4,5,
PO - 2 : It solves quality problems in OSB board production with appropriate solution methods, such as raw material mixtures, chipping, drying, gluing and pressing.5,6,8,93,4,5,
PO - 3 : Solves the problems in the OSB board production line and associates the outputs with the problem structure, presents them to the manager, determines the special processes that can be applied2,3,4,83,4,5,
PO - 4 : It offers alternative solutions by evaluating possible risks and opportunities for problems during production, evaluates the entire production line.5,6,8,93,5,
CTPO : Contribution to programme outcomes, TOA :Type of assessment (1: written exam, 2: Oral exam, 3: Homework assignment, 4: Laboratory exercise/exam, 5: Seminar / presentation, 6: Term paper), PO : Learning Outcome
