The aim of the course:
The course aims to provide the students with a general knowledge of productive and degraded forest areas, to enable them to define stand structures, to help them use their knowledge to analyze the silvicultural systems for transforming degraded forests into productive areas.

Contents of the Course
General information about productive and unproductive forest composed by main and secondary forest species in Turkey. Stand structure of productive (fruitful) and unproductive forest. The techniques of conversion from unproductive to productive forest. The tree breeding of unproductive selection forest.
