The aim of the course:
The aim of this course is to recognise the graduate studens accumulation of organic matter and condition of petroleum formation and geochemical properties of petroleum in advanced level

Contents of the Course
Accumulaton of sedimentary and organic materials. Organic carbon cycle. Diagenesis, catagenesis and metagenesis of organic matter. Kerogen. Composition and classification of kerogen, from kerogen to crude oil. Formation of petroleum in relation to geological processes. Composition and classification of crude oil. Geological control of petroleum types. Petroleum alteration. Oil and source rock correlation
