The aim of the course:
The aim of the course is to to evaluate and interpret geological data by using applied statistical methods

Upon successful completion of the course, the students will be able to :
PO - 1 : The students will have ability to organize and interpret geological data.
PO - 2 : ;The students will be able to solve geological problems by using most suitable statistical methods.
PO - 3 : The students will have ability to use multivariate statistical methods and utilize these methods in solving these problems

Contents of the Course
Statistical parameters, Testing normal populations, The t-test, The f-test, Analysis of variance (ANOVA, Two way analysis of variance), The Chi-Square test, The log-normal distribution and other transformation, Kolmogorov-Smirnov test, Mann-Whitney U test, Analysis of multivariate data, Multiple regression, Cluster Analysis, Principle component analysis, R-mode factor analysis, Q-mode factor analysis, Discriminant analysis
