The aim of the course:
The course aims to provide the students with a practical solution about main subjects of seismic waves, to help them use their knowledge to understand motion of seismic waves propagated in the earth, to teach them how to search for earth structure.

Programme OutcomesCTPOTOA
Upon successful completion of the course, the students will be able to :
PO - 1 : summarise the general knowledge on main subject of seismic waves.1,21,3
PO - 2 : describe the seismic waves propagation in the earth1,21,3,4
PO - 3 : apply elasticity principle for formation of seismic wave1,21,3,6
PO - 4 : evaluate the results of refraction and reflection of seismic waves in the layered medium1,21,3,4,6
PO - 5 : present before an audience the results and outcome of any exercise1,23,4,6
CTPO : Contribution to programme outcomes, TOA :Type of assessment (1: written exam, 2: Oral exam, 3: Homework assignment, 4: Laboratory exercise/exam, 5: Seminar / presentation, 6: Term paper), PO : Learning Outcome
