Definitions and uses of the concepts of transparency and opacity; place and historical process of transparency and opacity; defining the sub-concepts of transparency and opacity and relating them with architecture; relationship between perception and transparency-opacity; transparency and opacity perception (light, matter and space concepts); varieties of transparency and opacity in the context of the perception; the relationship between the concepts of building types; to examine and discuss the transparent and opaque designs both in historic and modern environments. |
