The aim of the course:
The purpose of the course is to research the Trabzon?s physcial fabric from prehistoric to ancient settlement and time of up to Comnenos and Ottoman in the context of topography.

Contents of the Course
This course is intended to examine topography shapes the original settlement in the todays Trabzon that has lost all physical traces. All cities situated on a piece of land. That land's form and characteristics plays a decisive role in the formation of urban form criteria. In this context, the settlement pattern of the city examined in the light of topographic data in the timeframe, starting from the first settlement to Comnenos Dynasty and the Ottoman period. The city's physical transformation and the construction activity that shapes from the historical conditions and topography will revealed in the perspective of the historical development.
