The aim of the course:
The architectural object that interacts with its environment from the moment it is built is an indicator that has the ability to transmit meaning by itself. Architecture has conveyed concepts, ideas and emotions throughout the ages as a means of communication with its specific language. In this context, in the content of the course, it is aimed to discuss the elements of architecture that convey the meaning and the messages they convey, and to discuss how people perceive and interpret their environment, in short, to examine the relationship between man and his environment.

Contents of the Course
Human-environment interaction, architecture as a communication language, architecture in terms of carrying multi-dimensional codes and transmitting meaning; psychology of perception (components, properties, effective factors, theories and approaches, etc.); the concept of perception in architecture; meaning and signification/interpretation (semantics, semiotics / semiology, theories and approaches); meaning and its levels in architecture (denotation, connotation), analyses on examples
