The aim of the course:
To raise awareness about the use of graphic design in architecture and to examine the use of graphic elements at different scales of space in theoretical and practical fields.

Upon successful completion of the course, the students will be able to :

Contents of the Course
Theoretical explanation of search with visual continuity : Human -environment connection and perception of concept-characteristics, theories of perception, organizations of visual perception, Gestalt psychology, the elements which providing of space perception; movement and time, light-shadow, emptiness and border, graphic (visual) communication-message (sign) concept; communication with visual signs, the elements of graphic design organization, point, line, shape, form, direction, dimension, measurement, interval, texture, colour, principals of graphic design and visual continuity; with suitability (similarity), with repetition, with modulation, with proportion connection, with visual hierarchy, with unity (harmony), with dominance and changeability, with contrast and balance. Investigation of all of these concepts in architectural examples
