The aim of the course:
Having information about elderly problems and particularly the sheltering issue which are emerged due to increasing population of elderly in Turkey and in the World, evaluating designs and sheltering alternatives for the aged and learning the concepts of quality of life and users satisfaction and the principles of universal design.

Contents of the Course
Old age and aging concepts; Elderly issues emerging from urbanization and industrialization; Elders position in communities and sheltering issue ; History of services given to elder people in Turkey and in the World; Description of multi-functional buildings and examination of their examples; Quality of life, users' satisfaction, universal design.
