The aim of the course:
To raise awareness about the damages and the repairs which are seen on the restoration of architectural buildings and the elements of that buildings, researching restoration techniques as comparative examples from the selected application, promotion and be equipped with the technical information in this awareness as a result of interpretation.

Contents of the Course
Examination of historical buildings and building components; Introducing the historic building elements and building materials; The introduction of restoration techniques on the basis of structures and structural elements; wood, stone, metal, ceramics, glass, building materials, damage and restoration; cleaning of stone walls as a restoration technique; painting, engraving, wallpaper, plaster etc. and restoration of damage seen in layers; ground problems in historic buildings, footings and restoration; structural systems of historic buildings and their restoration; roof restoration in historic buildings; Investigation of selected issues through the sample applications.
