The aim of the course:
This lecture aims to cause the students to earn the studing styles related to observation, measurement, dawing and collecting of different samples from the initial planning stage to the preparation of the final report in a geologic study.

Learning OutcomesCTPOTOA
Upon successful completion of the course, the students will be able to :
LO - 1 : comprehend the topographic maps, and can image topography. They can draw topographic cross-section.4,5,7,12,141,3,4
LO - 2 : define the attitude of planar and linear structures.4,5,7,12,141,3,4
LO - 3 : use the compass. They can measure and noted down the attitude of geologic structures with the compass.4,5,7,12,141,3,4
LO - 4 : determine its location on the map in the field.4,5,7,12,141,3,4
LO - 5 : make the geological map in the field. They can note data ,and can collect rock sample.4,5,7,12,14
LO - 6 : draw the geologic cross-section both from geological map and in the field.4,5,7,12,14
LO - 7 : write the geological report.4,5,7,12,14
LO - 8 : solve the geological prolems in the field.
CTPO : Contribution to programme outcomes, TOA :Type of assessment (1: written exam, 2: Oral exam, 3: Homework assignment, 4: Laboratory exercise/exam, 5: Seminar / presentation, 6: Term paper), LO : Learning Outcome
