The aim of the course:
Without enough wood anatomical knowledge, understanding of mechanical and tecnological features of wood is impossible. So, this lesson aims to give information about the identification of wood, so that gathering information on the usage of wood. Indeed, the purpose of Forest Industrial Enginering is it.

Classification of plants. Growth characteristics, anatomical and morphological features of wood, the elements of softwoods and hardwoods, some anomalies, abnormal secondary growth. The macroscopic and microscopic investigation of native and foreign wood
