The aim of the course:
The course aim is to have students to gain ability to carry out and interpret any field work in Geotechnical Engineering including full site investigation for any structure or construction work.

Samplers and sampling for pits and borings. Field permeability tests. Field shear strength tests. Main field tests: Plate Loading Test, Screw Plate Loading Test, Standard Penetration Test, Cone Penetration Test, Pressuremeter Test. . Other field tests: Flat dilatometer test, Glotzl earth-pressure cell, Iowa Stepped Blade etc. Geophysical methods.
