The main objective of shallow foundations course is to examine design of the shallow foundations

Contents of the Course
Subsurface investigation. Pressuremeter test. Plate loading test. Coefficient of subqrade reaction and its determination. Design of foundations by subgrade reaction modulus. Design of strip foundations by finite difference method.
